The Block Kids organizers are hustling and bustling to find sponsors of all levels for our highly anticipated event. With a prospect of over 100 participants, we need all the help we can get to make this year’s Block Kids event the best one yet. Whether it’s 10 kids or 100 kids, the reasons to be a sponsor is all the same.

  1. It’s an investment in the future of construction: Being a Block Kids sponsor means more than just sponsoring a building competition. It symbolizes a commitment to letting kid’s creativity grow and encouraging them to dream big. It means investing in the future of construction in Philadelphia. It means believing in the next generation of big thinkers and go-getters. Simply put, sponsoring this year’s Block Kids event means investing in the future of Philadelphia’s youth.
  2. It is an affordable way to promote your business: With sponsorships starting as low as $250 you’ll get your company logo on the Block Kids shirts and signage as well as a company mention in the awards ceremony.
  3. It is great exposure in the community:

Any donation, no matter how big or small will make a difference in the experience of all our participants. Please consider donating to this year’s event.

    Block Kids Building Program -

    get involved!

The NAWIC Philadelphia Foundation is pleased to announce the Block Kids Building Program will be held on Saturday, November 6th,  2021 at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 19 Hall in Philadelphia. NAWIC works together with local companies and organizations to promote the construction industry as a career path for students.  Block Kids is for boys and girls in grades 1 through 6.  You can support this fun event by participating as follows:

    • Be a judge (a.k.a. Building Inspector) – This is an experience you won’t want to miss. As a judge you will talk to the children about their project and complete a scoring form. With expectations of up to 100 children, we will need lots of “Building Inspectors”. No experience is necessary.
    • Goody Bag Sponsors – Each child will receive a cinch sack with the Block Kids logo on it, filled with stuff. Items such as rulers, pencils, construction-type coloring books, crayons, etc.   We set up an Amazon Wish list of some fun items.  Look at the list HERE to purchase supplies as donations.
    • Monetary Sponsors – Financial contributions underwrite the costs of building blocks, supplies, rentals, prizes, food, and printing.

As a sponsor, you and your company will be recognized the day of the event, on our website, and in upcoming promotional material. Your name and logo will also be on display at the event. We hope to have news crews broadcasting live to inform the public of our collective  interest in promoting a construction career to children and parents.

The Block Kids Building program was developed by the NAWIC Education Foundation to introduce children to the construction industry to create awareness of careers available within our industry. This national award-winning program is sponsored by NAWIC Chapters throughout the United States and Canada and locally sponsored by the NAWIC Philadelphia Foundation.

The success of this program is due to the tremendous support received from the construction industry. Perhaps you have children and/or would be willing to promote this program within your company. Feel free to make copies of the Student Registration form to distribute to your child’s school, church, scouting club, family members, co-workers, etc. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the numbers below or email us at

    Best Regards,
