Each year the NAWIC Philadelphia, PA Chapter 145 awards the Eleanor K. Buckley Scholarship.  Eleanor Buckley was a charter member of the Philadelphia Chapter in 1967 and was the only Philadelphia Chapter member to serve as an officer of NAWIC at the National level.

We celebrate her accomplishments in both the construction industry and NAWIC through our memorial scholarship in the hope of fostering future leaders in Construction from the greater Philadelphia region.

In addition to the undergraduate guidelines listed below, Eleanor K. Buckley Scholarship applicants must be women from or attending school in Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey or Delaware (the greater Philadelphia region).

NAWIC Founders' Scholarship Foundation

In addition to the NAWIC Philadelphia Scholarship, students can apply for the numerous scholarships presented by the NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation (NFSF).  NFSF was established in 1963 by NAWIC to assist in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education.   NFSF is a self-supporting 509(a)(3) designated scholarship program that allows all contributions to be tax deductible.

Construction is the only industry that encompasses almost every professional discipline.  Literally every career sector is available to you:  trades, project management, administrative, legal, financial, insurance, business owner…the list is virtually endless.  Once someone decides on a career in construction, they then have to find ways to pay for their education.  The NAWIC Founders Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) is here to help.

Each year NFSF AWARDS OVER $25,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts range from $500 to $2,500.
